Eastbourne’s Big Week of Work has recently been announced. The event will take place at Eastbourne Town Hall in Grove Road from Monday 7 November to Friday 11 November.
The event will bring together more than 700 potential recruits who can seek work with 150 employers. Today there around 2,700 people living in Eastbourne actively looking for work, 40% of them have not been able to get work for six months or more. This event has been organised to help boost the Eastbourne economy.

The high profile event will include a programme of workshops to support people through the recruitment processes, including free CV and application form writing, and interview performance.
The Big Week of Work will be launched on the Monday with a series of keynote presentations set to inspire those attending, including Hayley Taylor, Channel 4’s Fairy Jobmother, Leon Doyle, Apprentice contestant and successful entrepreneur, David Kelso, Regional Personnel and Training Manager at Morrisons plc and Melanie Hunt, Principal of Sussex Downs College.
From Tuesday through to Friday sector specific workshops will be held in retail, hospitality, customer service, administration and business and manual work.
