CONEL alumnus and former Excellence Award winner, Charlie Baker, has secured a job with Accenture, a top multinational management consultant company. Charlie is expected to travel worldwide as a Software Engineer, designing and developing software systems. Charlie studied Access to IT at CONEL achieving Distinctions in all twenty of his course modules before progressing on to King’s College University for his Computing degree.
Charlie is excited about his new job as he always wanted to be a Software Engineer. Charlie praises the College as being instrumental in starting his career: “No other College offered such an excellent Access course. The course gave me just what I needed to get to King's College and progress into a job. I've got nothing but praise for the College and its teachers.”
Charlie gives weekly workshops to some of the College’s current students and is a great mentor, offering his skills and experience on how to pursue a career in Computing. Charlie will graduate from University this year. He advises aspiring Software Engineers to: “Take advantage of all the learning opportunities available at CONEL and make good use of the excellent support from the staff.”

He is mature, reliable, and always demonstrates high respect to us, his lecturers. Charlie achieved his Access Diploma with 60 Distinction credits and progressed to King’s College, where his amazing academic journey continued at new heights. His hard work has paid off.”
