A talented football player, 18 year old Jacob Fremmer is taking his skills to the next level by joining the Men’s USA Soccer Clients when he moves to a US college in Autumn 2012. Jacob is a natural right side midfield player for South Leicestershire College’s Academy of Sport. Nick also plays soccer for Kibworth Town FC First X1. West Thames College ran a host of Staying Safe in London activities from 5–9 December. Activities included road safety workshops, health drop-ins, a drug advisory service, a crime prevention workshop and a Stop Smoking service. Newham College catering students took part in a cooking and safety challenge at a massive UK fire brigades’ contest at the Excel Centre.
Over two days, Hospitality & Catering Level 3 students and tutors demonstrated kitchen safety skills while hundreds of fire fighters competed in the UK Rescue Challenge London 2011.
