A new route into higher education has been unveiled by awarding body OCR and The Open University.
The partnership will open up a new route into university for FE Colleges’ vocational learners in England, which offers flexibility in today’s challenging economic climate.

Hundreds of teenagers are determined to develop their talents after visiting the Skills Show at London’s ExCel Centre, last weekend (23 & 24 November).
Big crowds were at Newham College’s exhibition stand as 541 potential students, including many teenagers, signed up for their ‘taster’ courses in starting January.
Visitors at the two-day skills and jobs exhibition also saw what learning can do when College’s students put on shows and demonstrations.

Josh Skitt, an apprentice with Shepherd Engineering Services (SES), has earned himself a Bronze medal at the recently held national UK Skill Pipe Finals. Josh competed with fellow apprentice, Josh Derry, at this year’s World Skills UK competition which took place at the Birmingham NEC.
The national finals formed part of the World Skills Show, which is the largest careers and skills event in the UK, where the best of the nation’s young talent come together to compete.
