Richmond upon Thames College hosted its annual Awards Evening on Wednesday 12 September. The event took place at Clarendon Hall, York House in Twickenham and celebrated the successes and achievements of some of the College’s students over the past 12 months.

Young people across the UK will have another chance to take part in Lloyds Banking Group’s Money for Life Challenge, a national competition to encourage young people to improve their money management skills.

Ashley inspires the stars of the future
Enthusiastic young bricklaying students from Grappenhall Hall School were delighted to find an extra student in their class. Ashley Terron, from Appleton, a former construction student at Warrington Collegiate, now training for International WorldSkills in Leipzig 2013, dropped in to build a wall and practice some advanced construction techniques.

Wakefield Children’s University reached a significant landmark this week as 9 year old Grace Banks became 2000th member. Current Arsenal and England player, Theo Walcott, returned to Stanmore (which, incidentally, is where he was born) on Monday of this week (24 September 2012).
