First casualties of the Government’s Work Programme- New contractors warned that they must act now or face massive talent losses in the sector

New College Nottingham selected as 2012 National Citizen Service Provider

New College Nottingham (ncn) is proud to have been selected to run a National Citizen Service (NCS) pilot scheme in 2012.  Minister for Civil Society, Nick Hurd, announced that up to 30,000 16-year-olds would have the chance to benefit from the scheme next year, opening up NCS to three times the number of young people who got involved in 2011.

A Wakefield College musical theatre student’s dream of a pop career remains alive after she eventually made it through to the next round of the X-Factor. Civil Engineering Course Launch

Leeds College of Building has become the first College in Yorkshire to offer an innovative new Civil Engineering course that spans a variety of engineering disciplines and offers apprentices a wide range of employment options.

Leeds Trainees Truimph at Britains Biggest Skills Competition

In September trainees from the construction and building services engineering industry descended on Leeds College of Building to compete in the finals of SkillBuild and Skill M&E which are Britain’s biggest skills competitions.
