Construction Focus for Local College

Enrolment has now started at Derby College @ Ilkeston & Heanor which is expanding the range of construction courses at its site in Field Road, Ilkeston, following its merger with Derby College.

Southampton City College launches new ‘learning for pleasure’ courses to benefit adults

From September the college will offer a number of new part-time courses to help adults develop their interests in everything from photography to beauty therapy.

The ‘new generation’ of classes will reflect modern hobbies such as digital photography and it is hoped that the college will become the hub not just for people to learn for work, but also to learn for pleasure.

A Level Success at Derby College

The largest ever cohort of A level students at Derby College’s Joseph Wright Centre have achieved a 99% pass rate for the second year running today . (Thursday August 19).

The 290 students collected their results from the city centre campus today and the majority are now heading to their first or second choice universities – relieved that they are not having to battle for the limited places on offer through the clearing system.

Radleigh leads the way in training next generation of construction workers

Derby-based developer Radleigh is at the forefront of a partnership initiative aimed at training the young construction workers of the future.

Broomfield Hall Food Hub Launch

Derby College is opening a new Food Hub at Broomfield Hall in Morley in October to help local people to learn how to grow their own produce as well as helping current local producers to sell their own produce.
