GCSE Advice and Guidance at Derby College

Derby College is holding special advice and guidance events for young people considering their next step having collected their GCSE results.



Information will be available on young people’s options at College – whether their results are worse or better than expected on Wednesday August 25 at The Roundhouse, Pride Park, between 3pm and 7pm and at the College’s advice centre in Ilkeston Market Place between 10am and 6pm.

SEDC Message Hits the Streets

Derby College at Ilkeston and Heanor is taking its message to the streets as part of a major marketing campaign.



An exhibition trailer housing information about the wide range of courses available at the SEDC sites in Ilkeston and Heanor and specialist courses on offer elsewhere across the College and will take to the streets around Erewash and Amber Valley from early August.

Opening Doors at Derby College

Enrolment at Derby College starts on Wednesday September 1 with a wider range of courses and campus choices than ever.



The Roundhouse vocational campus celebrates its first anniversary this September and has been joined this year by the Ilkeston and Heanor campuses which have also been refurbished and are the base for a wide range of vocational courses from art and design to construction.

Roundhouse Tours Launch

Derby College has teamed up with Derby City Council Tourist Information Centre to launch a tour programme at the historic Roundhouse in Pride Park.



From mid-September, groups and individuals will be able to book evening and weekend tours of The Roundhouse by contacting the TIC on 01332 255802 tourism@derby.gov.uk.

Derbyshire's first bursar pledges his allegiance

On Thursday 1st July, 18 year old James Abbott became the first Derbyshire student on the Army's Further Education Bursary Scheme (FEBS) to swear his Oath of Allegiance and move one step closer to his career in the Army.
