Open Day Invite

Derby College will be holding an open day in Ilkeston on Saturday June 5 aimed at young people taking GCSE’s this summer to highlight the wide range of opportunities available to them.

Boot Camp Date at Local School

An army of volunteers are due to descend on Bennerley Fields School in Ilkeston on Saturday May 22 to help build a bridge and path through a new wildlife and environmental garden that is being created for pupils to enjoy.



Work on the garden, which is transforming disused land into a wildflower meadow, orchard and outdoor classroom, has been progressing all week by students at Derby College’s Broomfield Hall land-based campus.

Sports Appeal

Derby College is collecting unwanted sports equipment and kit which they plan to send to Malawi as part of an international partnership aimed at improving young people’s sports coaching skills.

Final Date for Alistair

An apprentice bricklayer at Derby College has won a place in the national finals of an annual skills competition.



Alistair Camp (19) won the regional final of the Guild of Bricklayers competition and will now represent the College in the national final to be held in Liverpool on June 30.
