Countdown begins to final LSIS events

It’s now or never if organisations within the FE and Skills sector want to take advantage of events organised by the Learning and Skills Improvement Service (LSIS).



LSIS will no longer operate after 31 July 2013 following the cessation of its funding from the Department for Business Innovation and Skills (BIS); as a result LSIS’s services will not be available after this date.

Netball Academy student’s charity tour to Uganda

On the 27th June, Rachel King a member of SGS College’s Bristol Academy of Sport Netball Academy will be flying out to Uganda to coach Netball to girls on behalf of the Netball Development Trust.

Bromley College students show off their flair for hair

Hairdressing students at Bromley College of Further and Higher Education showed off their creative flair at the College’s annual Hair Show last week.

Pizza-making game developed into app by Weston College student

Local school pupils who took part in a computing design challenge organised by Weston College, North Somerset, have had their winning app idea turned into reality.

Almost 20 pupils from Worle Community School, Priory Community School, Broadoak Mathematics and Computing College and Hans Price Academy went head-to-head in a competition to design a mobile gaming app that could be produced and downloaded on to a smartphone or iPad.…

EAL apprentices help decommission Scottish nuclear reactor site
