Independent training providers have welcomed today’s record apprenticeship success rates as a clear indicator that the apprenticeship programme is in rude health despite recent adverse publicity.

Cambridge Regional College expands new Higher Education programme

Cambridge Regional College is expanding its range of Higher Education courses after a successful pilot scheme this year.

The college is targeting courses at students who want to stay in the area or are put off by rising university tuition fees, offering a year’s study for under £4,000 – compared to average university tuition fees of more than £8,000 from September.

Newham College is using Apprenticeship Week next month to launch a new course to help young people win valuable workplace training.

Throughout January, Fine Art Paintings and Prints by the Students and Staff of Oaklands College have been on display at Arty Parties, Hatfield Road, St Albans. The exhibition has been a chance for the local community to go along, see the work and put a bid against original pieces of art.
